North Texas 2015 Immigrant Journey Awards Nomination

Asia World Media Congratulate Anh Vo for winning the 2015 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award!
Each year, Cowles & Thompson and sponsors recognize and honor exceptional immigrant individuals who have chosen to make this country their home and who have demonstrated leadership in business, a chosen profession or in the civic arena at the annual Immigrant Journey Awards Luncheon. The luncheon is held in June 12, 2015 at 12pm-1:30pm at Prestonwood Country Club, 15909 Preston Road, Dallas, TX , in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month.
The goal of the Immigrant Journey Awards Program is to honor and celebrate immigrants whose achievements will serve as a role model and an inspiration to all who reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, regardless of their land of birth. There are 14 nominees for this year nomination, including Charlie Chen – CEO of DFW Technology and Chairman of Richardson Chamber of Commerce, Raymond Corral – RF Microwave Engineer, Alcatel-Lucent, Edith D’Agostino – Owner of Gabbiano Group, LLC, Dilshad Dayani – Founder, President and CEO of World Women Global Council, Mauricio Dominguez – Assistant Superintendent, Dallas Independent School District, Ashok Mago – Owner of Mago & Associates, Joe Madu – President, West Africa-America Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Azam Mirza and Claudia Mirza – President and CEO of Akorbi, Patricia Moore – COO of Sentrum International Corporation, Nagla Moussa – President of National Autism Association of North Texas, Rajan Rijal – Research Assistant Professor at University of North Texas, Andres Ruzo – CEO, Link America, Roxana Valenzuela – Owner of Mix Cocina Restaurant and Anh Vo – Owner of Cindi’s N.Y. Delicatessen Restaurant and Bakery.
The award categories for the 2015 Immigrant Journey Awards are:
Immigrant Entrepreneur Award: Honoring an immigrant business owner who has founded a highly successful business in DFW and who serves as a model and inspiration of success.
Immigrant Professional Excellence Award: Honoring an immigrant who has demonstrated significant professional achievements in their field and whose advancements in their field have positively impacted their profession or community.
Immigrant Spirit Award: Recognizing an immigrant civic leader or elected official who has contributed substantially to the community or the region.
Immigrant Advocate Award: Recognizing those who have made a positive impact on the lives of immigrants, and who advocates on behalf of immigrants. Nominee may be an individual, an organization, a business, a governmental or community entity, or a non-profit organization.
