Dallas, TX ( June 5, 2014) – The New Cities Foundation today unveiled the complete program of the third annual New Cities Summit, which takes place in the Dallas Arts District, Texas, from June 17 – 19, 2014.
The New Cities Summit is the leading global event on the future of the urban world. The Summit is a platform for action-oriented discussion and knowledge sharing among leaders, thinkers and builders of global cities. The theme of this year’s event is Re-imagining Cities: Transforming the 21st Century Metropolis.
The Summit takes place in the acclaimed Winspear Opera House, designed by Foster & Partners, in the heart of the Dallas Arts District – America’s largest contiguous arts district.

Peerby wins AppMyCity! contest for best new urban app
Urban leaders and thinkers from across the world selected the Dutch mobile application Peerby as winner of the $5,000 AppMyCity! contest for the world’s best new urban app. The vote was cast at the New Cities Summit in Dallas today, following presentations by a total of three international app developers.
