Dallas Thai Festival 2014

The Thai community from Dallas Buddhist Temple celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month with Thai Food and Culture.  Their goal is to raised fund for the Buddhist Temple and raised awareness to the Thai community, especially with the Thai military carrying out coup in the country of Thailand. 

Special remarks by Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United States of America, help open the ceremony. 

The opening day included a variety of tasty Thai food, cultural performance, and many booths with authentic products from the country of Thailand.

“This year for the first time a boxing  ring was setup for a professional Thai boxing (Muay Thai) demonstration, ” says DeeDee, Thai Festival MC. Kids from the crowd were invited to come up to the stage to test out their skills.
