The Chinese Year of the Horse comes galloping into our lives. Our new steed last arrived on the 31st of January 2014. Horses tend to be showy creatures and very much the exhibitionist, the extrovert.
Drums beating, dragon dancers and colorful lion dancers signified the beginning of the celebration of Chinese/Lunar New year at the Crow Museum on Saturday, February 1, 2014, in downtown Dallas. Guests outside were treated with abundance of authentic Chinese activities and expanded food and beverage offerings including food trucks down Harwood Street.
In North Texas, the Lunar New Year is an important event celebrated by many ethnic groups from Asia, including the Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean.
