Six years after their Guantanamo Bay adventure, stoner buds Harold Lee and Kumar Patel cause a holiday fracas by inadvertently burning down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree.

Asia World Media was fortunate to interview John Cho couple of weeks before the movie, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, came out.

Q:  As an Asian American actor, what has your experienced like from the Asian American community since you do not played the traditional, stereo type roles that Hollywood portray?

A:  Not sure the Asian community well-supported or accepted that type of roles that I play but it seems to be positive and the community is warming up to it.

Q:  What’s your advise to other Asian American who are interested in entering into Hollywood and become an actor/actress?

A:  Be true to yourself and your value.

Q:  What are your challenges in making  “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas” movie in 3Ds? Does your character finally find love?

A:  3-Ds are much longer to shoot, takes much more times and with lots of movement than usual filming. My personal challenges are the dance sequences, trying to make the role believable and keeping up with other co-actor, such as Neil Patrick Harris . In this chapter of Harold & Kumar, the character Harold’s love interest is more heighten. He get married and meets the in-laws and the movie added some cultural jokes.

Q:  Do you relate to your character, Harold, in your personal life?

A:  Yes, I do relate to Harold in a way and admire the character Harold. It’s playing the character Harold that I get more respect from other film acting roles.

Q:  What other film projects you having going on in the near future?

A:  I’m working on the next chapter of Star Trek the movie, American Union (American Pie, Part 4) and Total Recall (coming out Summer 2012).
