North Texas RCIC  – TECH SUCCESS 2013 and Innovation Showcase

Dallas, TX – On Tuesday at the Las Colinas NYLO Hotel, over 300 professionals, entrepreneurs, technologists, academia, political leadership and top business executives from the technology community gathered to exchange ideas, create personal connections and preview the technology start-ups of tomorrow. The North Texas Regional Center for Innovation & Commercialization (NTXRCIC) 2013 Tech Success is an annual celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tech Success 2013 is an incredible evening of sharing innovative ideas, creating personal connections, fostering relationships imperative to building scalable businesses and a preview of technology start-ups of tomorrow. Companies like Regenedyne (Wind Power), Cirasys (Digital Control & Conversion), Solarno (Solar Energy) and Turnto America (Battery Restoration) to name a few, have their CEO and Executives available to educate investors and visitors the capability of their technology. Many of these companies provide environment-friendly and renewable technology not only beneficial here in the United States but also, globally.  “Currently, our battery restoration system power the Korean Ministry of defense in Seoul, replacing 715 batteries,” said Lee Duk Hee, CEO of Turnto America.

The NTXRCIC creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to engage the investment community to secure capital and resources needed to grow scalable technology-based businesses.   The NTXRCIC provides services and mentoring programs that create a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem for Texas.   Today the NTXRCIC supports 40 Emerging Technology Fund portfolio companies and 22 client companies seeking capital investment.

Tech Success 2013 featured a Technology Showcase with 30 start-up companies, a Co-Investment Forum with 10 presenting companies and a cocktail reception for guests. The Co-Investment Forum is a NTXRCIC program for vetted companies to present their business in an eight-minute pitch to qualified investors. The event is sponsored by the Alliance for Higher Education and regional partners Texas Instruments, Bank of Texas, ORIX, TriNet, ViaWest, Harper House and NTXRCIC strategic partners WhichBox Media, UNT Innovation Greenhouse, TECH Fort Worth, NTEC, and Asia World Media.
