Sounds of the taiko drumming in the distance signal the 2017 Japanese Garden Fall Festival celebration, on October 28th-29th, at the Forth Worth Botanical Garden. The annual Japanese Garden Fall Festival celebrates the season with a two-day event set throughout the wondrous living garden. The festivities include Japanese dance, cultural music, martial arts, sword demonstrations, Tai Chi, live artists and traditional tea ceremonies.

The Japanese Garden Fall Festival is one of the anticipated events for North Texas residents during the Holiday seasons. Visitors get to experienced hand-painted paper lanterns and kites, mesmerized over the Japanese cultural dance performances, and learn about the Japanese culture. Marvel as you watch the graceful Sakura dancers, the deft use of Japanese swords and demonstrations of Genjikai karate, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. Participate in the tea ceremony, peruse the bonsai and ikebana exhibits, treat yourself to the Gong relaxation techniques, admire the works of watercolor artists and shop among numerous vendors selling jewelry, artwork and gifts.
Stroll on the small bridges and enjoyed the beautiful landscaped of the Japanese Garden. Breathe in the fresh air and get lost in the bright, fall transformation of nature in its purest form. Natural beauty overflows here in the garden. Stunning Japanese plants and trees almost make you feel like you are in another world. The peaceful tranquility around the ponds and among the trees soothes your soul. Step onto stones over the ponds and marvel at the Japanese koi in its environment.

The Japanese Garden is nestled within the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, located at 3300 Japanese Garden Lane Fort Worth, TX, 76107. The two-day event is an important fund-raiser to help maintain one of the oldest gardens in Fort Worth.
