12th annual Lunar New Year Good Fortune Celebration
Year of the Snake Celebration to Honor Top Ten Asian Businesses
On Saturday, February 2, 2013, the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce-Southwest Region (USPAACC-SW) hold its 12th annual Lunar New Year Good Fortune Celebration Honoring Top Ten Asian American businesses. The Celebration was held at the beautiful MAXIM’S Restaurant, 310 Terrace Drive, Richardson, TX 75081 with festivities commencing at 6:30 pm. MAXIM’S Restaurant provide a lavish 10 course Chinese dinner that sure warrant rave reviews. Fabulous entertainment and the traditional Good Fortune Lion Dance captivate the audience senses. NBC5’s Christine Lee was the evening’s Celebrity MC.
According to Chinese legend, The Year of The Snake will arrive on February 10, 2013. In many Asian countries especially China, The Year of The Snake is believed to bring peace and prosperity around the world.

Dallas City Manager Ms. Mary Suhm and State Representative Tan Parker were the night Keynote Speakers. In last year’s keynote address, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings stated how important the Asian American community is toward increasing economic development between Asia and Dallas. The USPAACC-SW organization realizes the value of economic development as they continue to bring Asian American entrepreneurs together with Supplier Diversity Procurement officers from many companies across the DFW Metroplex and the Southwest region. Chamber President Grace McDermott stated, “In honor of the contributions Asian Americans have made to the Southwest region, USPAACC-SW will recognize the following companies and professionals with the 2013 Top Ten Asian Business Award on February 2nd. “ The Outstanding Achievement Award recipient is Winjie Miao, President, Texas Health Alliance Hospital. Other Top Ten Award recipients are Michelle Hoang, President/CEO, Hypernet Solutions, Inc; Jimmy An, President/CEO UBM Enterprise; Sankar Azhakesan. President, Doyensys, Inc., Samar Bashir, President, SMR Construction Inc., Nick Jiang, Sr. Project ManagerTechnology, Arcturis, China Region; Lily Qian, Owner, LQ Financial; Balwinder Dhillon, Presiden/ECO, Amer Technology; Davis Lane, Client Delivery Executive, Meridian Technologies and Pansak S. Sribhen, President/CEO PSA Engineering, LLC. The chamber also initiated a new Award honoring an Asian American Veteran, The Asian Patriotism Award. This award goes to Chief Petty Officer Chenwai Wong.
